Sponsorship is $25 a month or $300 a year per person for food, shelter, health care and education. Your sponsorship is set up as a recurring gift at the level of support indicated. You may end the payments at any time in the future should you decide to stop sponsorship.

Disket Angmo
27 Years Old
Disket is from Palam village; her village is half an hour far from the Capital City of Leh.  She finished 10th grade from Government School and became nun at age 20.  She is the youngest of her family. She has two elder brothers and one elder sister.  Her father passed away in Year 2005 and her mother has no source of income. 



Kunzes Dolma
Kunzes is from Tingmosgang village. Her parents are farmers. She is the youngest of her family. She has three sisters and one brother. She studied till 8th grade at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies and oined LNA in Year 2006. At presne she is staying and studying at LNA.


Nawang Lhamo
21 Years Old
Nawang is from Whaka Village. She is in 12th grade studying in the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies. She joined LNA in year 2006 and staying at LNA hostel.



Sonam Chodrol
30 Years Old
Sonam was born in Shara Village.  Her parents are farmers; she has one younger sister and three younger brothers.  She finished her 10th grade from CST School in Leh and joined the Ladakh Nuns Association in Year 2001.  She is staying in the Nunnery and helped all the construction jobs and driving the vehicle.  She is also learning Tibetan language, grammar and basic health care program in the Nunnery.



Tsering Angmo
30 Years Old
Tsering is from Matho village. She became nun in Year 1996.  She graduated from Central Institute of Buddhist Studies. She teaches Tibetan grammars and languages for the students of LNA.




Stazin Yangdol
69 Years Old
Stazin is 69 Years old from Shara Village. she becomes nun from childhood. She spent most of her life helping her parents and ralatives. After her parents and brothers passed away. She joined the Ladakh Nuns Association in Year 2004.


Sangye Zangmo
40 Years Old
Sangye was from nomadic family Rupsho, Changthang. She became nun at age sixteen at Dechen Choling Nunnery in Skidmang. She has one brother and two sisters, both her parents passed away. She joined the Ladakh Nuns Association in Year 2001.


Thubten Yangchan
29 Years Old
Thubten is from Bodhkharbu Village . Her father passed away and her mother is staying in the village, she has two brothers and three sisters. She studied up to grade ten and joined LNA in 2001 and received ordination in year 2007.

Thupstan Dolma-A
33 Years Old
Thupstan is from Whaka Village . She became nun at the age of sixteen and stayed under the care of her Aunt. She has one brother and five sisters. She joined LNA in 2000.

Thupstan Dolma-B
32 Years Old
Thupstan B is from Whaka Village . Both of her parents passed away. She has three brothers and three sisters. She is the youngest one in her family. She became nun at the age of fifteen and received ordination in 1990. She joined LNA in 2000.
