Gelek Choedon

Gelek came into exile in Year 1999; she did not get any opportunity to go to school in Tibet due to financial problems at home. She joined the nunnery when she was 17 Years old.

Jamyang Khedup
Date of Birth: July 15, 1993
Monastery: Khari Ganden Tenphilling in Nepal

Jamyang went to school at age five and studied till grade V in his village. He also helps his parents in the farm. At age 12 he joined the Monastery in Nepal.

Lobsang Choedak
Date of Birth: May 25, 1988
Monastery: Khari Ganden Tenphilling in Nepal

Lobsang into exile in Year 2000 and joined the Monastery as a monk. He studied for two years and joined Sera Mey Monastery to pursuing his Buddhist studies. After completing his studies he returned back to serve at the Khari Monastery.

Lobsang Chungwa
Date of Birth: September 8, 1957
Nunnery: Khari Nunnery in Thamo, Solukhumbu

Lobsang was born in Shongar, Tibet. She has been helping his family in farming.  She came into exile to purse her religions studies leaving behind her family members in Tibet.  She joined the nunnery in Year 1986.

Ngawang Choeying
Date of Birth: 1982
Nunnery: Khari Nunnery in Thamo, Solukhumbu

Ngawang was born at Dhingri Zone, Tibet.  After her father passed away she could not pursue her normal life in Tibet.   After lots of hardship and struggle she reached Khumbu and joined the Nunnery.    Ngawang is very happy to be part of the Nunnery. She wishes to complete her studies and serve the nunnery.

Ngawang Samten
Date of Birth: July 10, 1974
Nunnery: Khari Nunnery in Thamo, Solukhumbu

Ngawang came from Tibet in 1999, her family members are still in Tibet. She always dream about becoming a nun and wants to serve the community.  She joined the nunnery and happy to be part of their family.  Besides Tibetan language, she is interested in learning English and other subjects.

Tsultirm Dolma A
Date of Birth: January 18, 1950
Nunnery: Khari Nunnery in Thamo, Solukhumbu

Both of her parents have passed away, she came into exile and joined the nunnery to pursue traditional Buddhist studies. She is happy to be part of their family and studying well.

Tsultrim Sangmo
Date of Birth: May 13, 1977
Nunnery: Khari Nunnery in Thamo, Solukhumbu

Tsultrim escape Tibet in 2005. Both of her parents passed away, she was living with her aunty for long time in Tibet.  She had never been to school because of financial situations.   She joined the nunnery and now studying very hard and also hard working nun.
