SPONSOR A TIBETAN CHILD IN TIBET

Sponsorship for a child in Tibet is $30 a month or $360 a year a year per person for food, shelter, health care and education.   Due to conditions affecting the orphanages in Tibet, we are unable to provide a profile for an individual child for some of the orphanages, but please know that your sponsorship will help cover the costs of caring for an individual child.

Please read the institutional profiles below, choose your payment option, enter the information requested and select "Sponsor Now" to continue.
One hundred percent (100%) of the funds you send to The Tibet Fund for sponsorship goes directly to the earmarked institution or individual.
After you make your sponsorship donation, please also consider a General Donation at whatever level you wish so that we may continue this work. Thank You!

DORJI & SANJI CHARITY HOME
KAP established the Dorje and Sanji Charity Home (Orphanage) named after the two founders in Tibet in September 2004.  This Home has 25 orphans and is located in the Waka Township, on the bank of two major rivers and in the center of five counties of Derong, Chatring, Batang and Dechen and Gyalthang on the border of two Chinese provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan. Orphans are recruited and selected from these five counties.  These orphans study in the local primary school, live in the school hostel and eat with the local students. Your support is needed for food, shelter, health care and education of these children. Individual profiles are available; please contact yangzom@tibetfund.org

KAP CHUSHAL ORPHANAGE
In 1999 the Khawachen Assistance Program financed the building of the Chushul Orphanage Home, located outside Lhasa, and has contributed funds annually for the maintenance of the Home. With help of Ms. Peggy Day and individual sponsors, KAP has provided funds for maintenance support and to build a new kitchen, bathroom and dining room in the orphanage, as well as an additional building in recent years.  Currently, 26 children are under the care of the Home. They attend local primary, middle and high schools. Three of the students have already graduated and are attending universities in mainland China . Your help is needed to con tinue and expand care for these children.

POOR SNOW LAND SCHOOL
The Poor Snowland Home in Golok is located in a very remote area officially recognized as being one of the poorest counties in Tibet. The Home has made a special effort to serve underprivileged girls whose families cannot afford the most basic necessities, or are homeless, or whose parents are suffering from physical or mental illness and cannot care for their child.  Currently 50 girls live at the Home and attend a nearby elementary school. The Home’s reputation has spread and as a result 150 girls are on the waiting list to be admitted.  Conditions at the Home are very dire—support is needed for basic necessities, including fuel to heat the rooms.  Your sponsorship will make a very big difference in the life of a young Tibetan girl.
