One hundred percent of the funds you send to the Tibet Fund for sponsorship or general support goes directly to the earmarked Nunnery or to the Department of Religion and Culture. She worked at home helping her family. In 2004, she took ordination in Ladakh and moved to Rigzong Nunnery. In 2006, she traveled to Dharamsala and joined the Jamyang Choling Nunnery.

			Name: Date of Birth: Institute: Code #:		Tenzin Chimed (B) July 13, 1988 Jamyang Choling 93 Tenzin was born in Arunachal Pradesh. Her father is a lay Buddhist practitioner and performs Buddhist rituals and prayers for local villagers. She has one older brother and five sisters, before ordination she helped her parents at home caring for her sibling. She joined Jamyang Choling Nunnery in Year 2006.

Before ordination she worked at home helping her mother. At the age of 20, she took ordination at a Sakya Nunnery in Derhra Dun and later joined Jamyang Choling Nunnery.

She completed high school and then pursed monatic life and took ordination on March 2006 and joined Jamyang Choling Nunnery.

She has eight siblings; three of her brothers are monks. Tashi completed grade eight of middle school then joined the Nunnery in April 2006.

			Name: Date of Birth: Institute: Code #:		Choying Dolma June 2, 1983 Jamyang Choling 103 Choying was born in Manang, Nepal. Her father is a businessperson and mother stayed home with her older sister and younger brother. After completing grade five, she studied Tibetan for two years at a nunnery in Nepal as a day student. She then took ordination in Year 2000 at the age of 18 and resides at a nunnery in Nepal. In Year 2006, she joined Jamyang Choling Nunnery.

She has two sisters and one brother Aspiring to became a nun, after completing grade five she joined the Nunnery and shortly afterwards took ordination.

She has three sisters and four brothers. One of her brother is a monk in Zanskar. Aspiring to become a nun and with the blessing of her family. Tenzin left school after completing grade four, traveled to Dharamsala and joined the Nunnery in April 2006.

Tsering has three sisters. After completing grade eight, she and her cousin traveled to Jamyang Choling Institute and joined the Nunnery in April 2006.

Tsering along with her cousin (Dawa) decided to become a nun, took ordination at home temple in Sikkim, and traveled with their uncle a monk to Dharamsala to purse her Buddhist education and joined the Nunnery in April 2006.`

Her parents are nomads and have seven sisters and four brothers. Prior to ordination in 2003, she moved with her family to take care for their domestic animals. Being in a remote region with lack of nunneries, she decided to escape from Tibet by walking over the Himalayas to Nepal with group of 45 people; a journey took twenty-four days to reach Nepal. Stayed five months in Nepal to get an Indian permit and joined Jamyang Choling in May 1, 2006.

Her father does petty business and mother works in the fileds. She joined the Institute in the Year 2003 and she enjoy her study of Dharma.

Their only source of income is from farming and it's difficult for them to support her education. She joined the Institute in 2003 and her special interest is reading books.

Their souce of income is from farming and she has two elder sister, one sister is a nun at the same Institute. One brother is a monk and lives in the monastery.
